The Supplement Cabinet Intervention
Why You Probably Don’t Need 25 Pills a Day
If your supplement cabinet looks like a mini Whole Foods and you’re still tired, inflamed, bloated, anxious, or confused about what you’re even taking anymore…we need to talk.
And before you roll your eyes, let me say this clearly: I am the Medical Director of a supplement company. I LOVE supplements.
And I still think most people are taking too many supplements.
This isn’t anti-supplement. I formulate them. I believe in them. I’ve seen them change labs, symptoms, and lives!
But somewhere along the way, “support your health” turned into stacking 17 capsules before breakfast, rotating probiotics like it’s a hobby, detoxing every season, and chasing whatever ingredient is trending on TikTok this month.
That’s not strategy. That’s noise. And overwhelmed nervous systems do not heal.
The Wellness Industry Has a Hoarding Problem
There is a subtle dopamine hit that comes with buying something new for your health. It feels productive. It feels proactive. It feels like control.
The industry knows that.
So instead of asking, What actually moves the needle? we end up asking, What’s trending?
Colostrum.
Sea moss.
Berberine.
Chlorophyll.
Adrenal cocktails.
Exotic mushroom blends.
Whatever your neighbor swears fixed her mold toxicity.
But most of you are not sick because you’re missing an obscure root from the himalayan rainforest.
You’re depleted.
And depletion is almost always foundational.
